Meet The Team

The Colangelo College of Business Women In Business Club is completely student-led, organized, and run. This club has provided these individuals an opportunity to apply their skills with their learned knowledge in an applicable environment related to their desired career field.

Meet The Team: Publications

Abbie Gage

President

Abbie is a senior studying Business Management with a double minor in Marketing and Pre-Law, set to graduate in the spring of 2024. In her free time, Abbie loves playing pickleball, board games, and watching movies with friends! In her last year at GCU, Abbie plans on using her skills in leadership and communication to support the Women in Business club. In addition to Women in Business, Abbie is also the President and Licensee Holder of TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity, Arizona’s largest TEDx event.

Kennedy Herschberger

Vice President

Kennedy is a junior studying Finance with a minor in Sports and Entertainment Management and plans to graduate in Spring 2025. In her free time, Kennedy loves to spend time with friends and family and being in the sunshine. In this next year, Kennedy plans to help the Women in Business club by finding new strategies to guide young women who are entering into the business world. Kennedy is currently and Administrative Assistant at the Colangelo College of Business and has been named a Colangelo Scholarship Recipient.

Corinne Carlson

Secretary and Treasurer

Corinne is a junior studying Business Management with a minor in Marketing and plans to graduate in spring of 2025. She loves how WIB empowers women to integrate their faith into the workplace. She is thrilled to meet new members and build relationships. In her free time Corinne loves traveling, reading, surfing, longboarding, and spending time with friends and family. In addition to Women in Business, Corinne works for a country club in Scottsdale.

Avery Jones

Director of Events

Avery is a senior studying Marketing and Advertising with a minor in Biblical Studies. With a strong desire to cultivate community, Avery is excited to serve as Director of Events as she hopes to give club members impactful and tangible experiences. In her free time, Avery loves to play any and all sports, hangout with her friends and play board games. In addition to Women in Business, Avery is a Head Leader for GCU’s Local Outreach, the Director of Marketing for TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity, and a Program Development Specialist for the Colangelo College of Business!

Sydney Skees

Director of Marketing

Sydney is a Junior studying Business Marketing and will graduate spring of 2025. In her free time she loves playing pickle ball, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends. She loves the encouraging and uplifting community of WIB. She is so excited to continue to create new friendships with girls who have a passion for learning about faith and business! In addition to Women in Business, Sydney works for a boutique marketing agency called Incuro!

Ashlyn Janzen

Director of Mentorship

Ashlyn is a senior studying Business Management. She has a strong passion for the mentorship program and is excited to see the new friendships and growth that come from it. Ashlyn works at the front desk at the Colangelo College of Business and serves as a Life Leader on campus.

Katie Potter

Director of Content Creation

Katie is a Senior studying Graphic Design and Advertising and will graduate in the Spring of 2024! In her free time, she loves going on road trips, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places. She loves the positive and community-driven environment of WIB! Along with Women in Business, Katie works for GCU Social Media and is Head Leader of the Plug for GCU Local Outreach!

Kassidy Gazdziak

Director of Development

Kassidy is a senior studying Business Administration with a minor in Finance, set to graduate in the spring of 2024. In her free time she loves working out, hanging out with her friends and family, and spending time outside in God’s great creation! She loves the community behind WIB and how centered it is around becoming the woman God called you to be with the help of the supportive women around you. In addition to Women In Business, Kassidy is also the Freshman Class Council Director for the Associated Students of Grand Canyon University!
