Meet the 2026-2027 Team

The Colangelo College of Business Women In Business Club is completely student-led, organized, and run. This club has provided these individuals an opportunity to apply their skills with their learned knowledge in an applicable environment related to their desired career field.

Meet The Team: Publications

Gabby Kraemer

President

Gabby is currently studying Business Management with a minor in Marketing and plans to graduate in the spring of 2026. In her free time, Gabby loves to spend time with friends and family and enjoys being outside. In this next year, Gabby hopes that every girl who comes to a meeting or event feels genuinely welcomed, grows in confidence, and leaves not only with valuable professional development skills, but also with access to opportunities that help her thrive in her future career. Gabby is so thankful for the community of Christ-centered women she has found through WIB, inspiring her decision to continue her time on the leadership team!

Megan Brown

Vice President

Megan is currently studying Entrepreneurial studies with a minor in Psychology and will graduate in the Spring of 2027! In her free time, she loves to stay active with running & yoga, spend time with her loved ones, travel, and line dance! This year, Megan is looking forward to WIB’s annual conference, as well as serving, learning, and growing alongside incredible women! She feels so blessed to be serving on the leadership team and she loves that WIB has always been a place of empowering women to feel confident in their future careers. Megan loves that the WIB community is so uniquely special, and those around her are always inspiring her to grow in every way.

Shelby Phillips

Secretary and Treasurer

Shelby is currently studying accounting with a minor in pre-law and will graduate in the Fall of 2027! In her free time, she loves going on walks, playing pickleball, relaxing outside, and spending time with friends and family. This year, Shelby is looking forward to getting to know the club members and watching the club grow! Shelby loves WIB because of the relationships she will have with the members and leadership team, as well as seeing everyone grow from being involved!

Sophia Widarto

Director of Events

Sophia is currently studying Marketing and Advertising with a minor in Graphic Design and plans to graduate in the Spring of 2026! In her free time, Sophia loves to paint, go to the gym, the beach, hangout with her friends, and do bible studies! This year, she is excited for conference and for everyone to see new ideas come to life! For Sophia, WIB has had such an amazing impact on her life and she wants to give back to other girls who are interested in business.

Makenna Milam

Director of Marketing

Makenna is a senior studying Marketing and Advertising with a Minor in Sports and Entertainment Management and plans to graduate in the spring of 2026. In her free time, Makenna loves trying new coffee shops, doing pilates, going on walks, spending time with her friends, and traveling! She loves the encouraging and uplifting community of WIB. She is so excited to continue to create new friendships with girls who have a passion for learning about faith and business!

Brie Etheridge

Director of Mentorship

Brie is currently studying Business Management and plans to graduate in the spring of 2026! In her free time she loves spending time with friends and family, going on outdoor adventures, exploring new coffee shops, traveling, and doing Pilates! This year, Brie is so excited for mentorship events because they’re a great way for mentors and mentees to connect, support each other, and build meaningful relationships! She loves WIB because of how impactful this club can be! For Brie, Women in Business has provided her a space for GCU women to grow, network, have fun, and learn together.

Elizabeth Volenec

Director of Content Creation

Elizabeth is currently studying Entrepreneurship and will graduate in the spring of 2026! In her free time she loves going on walks outside, baking, and spreading time with family! This year, Elizabeth is really excited for WIB's annual conference because she loves seeing all of the WIB girls together! She loves being a part of WIB because it is a club that has given so much to her, and she is excited to be able to give back!

Rylie Schafer

Director of Development

Rylie is currently studying Hospitality Management and will graduate in the spring of 2026! In her free time, she loves hanging out with friends, playing games, reading a good book, tanning, and grabbing either a sweet treat or a coffee! This year, Rylie is looking forward to growing closer as a leadership team and serving GCUs student body together through the events WIB puts on! She loves what WIB stands for, and the chance to grow personally and professionally!
